FAQ
Common questions
- Which industries does SPI Industries accept R&D briefs from?
- Eleven sectors: Energy & Storage, Aerospace & Defence, Oil, Gas & Mining, Automotive & EV, Semiconductors, Pharma & Biotech, Construction & Infra, Textiles & Wearables, Optics & Photonics, Water & Desalination, and Space & Orbital.
- What kinds of problems are you looking for?
- Problems that are materials-shaped — nano-materials, coatings, additives, surface engineering or process-technology bottlenecks. Each industry row above lists representative problem statements we would accept tomorrow.
- My industry is not listed. Can you still help?
- Yes. The eleven verticals are the most common, but if your problem feels materials-shaped — even if your sector is not on the list — open the brief drawer and we will assess it.
- How do I submit a problem?
- There is one intake for every industry — the brief drawer. Stage 01 (Discovery) is free: a 30-minute scoping call with a senior materials engineer under NDA.
