India burns 91 MMT of diesel a year against a $132B annual diesel import bill. Grafillium needed a drop-in nano-catalytic additive that drives near-complete combustion across heavy-duty fleets — with zero modifications to injectors, engines or after-treatment, and full BS-VI compatibility.
— Approach
We co-engineered Ignitron D — a proprietary nano-catalytic diesel fuel additive tuned for near-complete combustion. Bench engine cycles, then pilot trials with partner fleets on like-for-like routes and loads against an untreated baseline, with injector and stack inspection at intervals.
— Outcome
Up to 25% fuel economy, up to 20% emission cuts across PM, CO and HC, injector cleaning, smoother operation and extended engine life. At national scale Grafillium's modelling indicates 15.4 MMT diesel saved, 49 MMT CO₂ avoided, ₹1.6 lakh-Cr economic relief and $8–9B forex savings.
